About / Additional Info:The Edgefield County Magistrate’s Office is dedicated to providing professional service to the public. The Magistrate’s Office has jurisdiction over many misdemeanor criminal and traffic charges, typically where the penalty is a maximum of 30 days in jail or a fine. The Magistrate’s Office also has civil jurisdiction where the amount in controversy does not exceed $7,500, and certain landlord and tenant matters.
